Absolutely delightful! Lots of rhyming and engaging, colorful pictures。

Deidra Chamberlain

Fun, continuation of good rhymes, also knowing rhymes gives you power in this universe (which is something I can get behind)

Mary

This was fun。 Good rhyme and just enough silly。 The children loved it。

A fun and engaging book packed full of lots of rhyme。

This is just a silly one which I thought would go over better with my 3。5 year old。 To read, it wasn't the best。 Felt like it had some unnecessary words in it that interrupted the flow。 And the whole premise was just a bit silly, like rewriting the rules on what all animals have to sit on is a bit thin, to be honest。 My 3。5 year old laughed at the pictures of the dog on the inside covers, but I feel like her overall take on the story was "huh"。 This one falls solidly in the "not for me" category This is just a silly one which I thought would go over better with my 3。5 year old。 To read, it wasn't the best。 Felt like it had some unnecessary words in it that interrupted the flow。 And the whole premise was just a bit silly, like rewriting the rules on what all animals have to sit on is a bit thin, to be honest。 My 3。5 year old laughed at the pictures of the dog on the inside covers, but I feel like her overall take on the story was "huh"。 This one falls solidly in the "not for me" category。 Based on the reviews I can see that it's just up the alley of many people, but didn't do it on our end。 。。。more

So fun to read aloud, and great pictures。

These series of books are brilliant for helping children to learn their phonics and noticing patterns within words! I would use it with foundation and year 1, as it is excellent to help with their phonics learning and get them used to hearing similar sounds in similar words - a good laugh too!

A book to teach children about rhyming。

A hilarious follow up to 'oi frog' where frog decides that he is sick of the rules and therefore decides to change them。 A hilarious follow up to 'oi frog' where frog decides that he is sick of the rules and therefore decides to change them。 。。。more

This pulse-pounding sequel to Frog on a Log? picks up seconds after the explosive finale of that book and upends everything we thought we knew about frogs and logs。Reminds me of how I felt reading The Vampire Lestat after Interview with the Vampire。 This pulse-pounding sequel to Frog on a Log? picks up seconds after the explosive finale of that book and upends everything we thought we knew about frogs and logs。Reminds me of how I felt reading The Vampire Lestat after Interview with the Vampire。 。。。more

[baby read]What if frog isn’t ok with being sat on by a dog? This series is an absolute gem。 My 11mo loves them (we have the first 3 so far)。 The highly coloured and contrasted drawings paired with the punchy lines make for a fun and easily interrupted and picked up again read。 Highly recommend!

Hilarious and the illustrations are great。

A fantastic sequel to Oi Frog!。 With Frog in control this time, there is even more ridiculous and humorous rhyming and many more animals to discover。 From moths and slugs to gnus and whales, this book is a wonderful tool to use with children to expand their knowledge of the natural world, and have fun doing it。

Every bit as fun。James wrote, "Scissors sit on blizzards" and "violins sit on shark fins。" Every bit as fun。James wrote, "Scissors sit on blizzards" and "violins sit on shark fins。" 。。。more

-11-11-20-*****-11-23-20-Fiction-Kindergarten- I love these series! This is a cute book just for a fun read a loud in the primary grades! I think it could also be used in the first few weeks of school when talking about and learning about your student。

This is such a ridiculous, enjoyable book! It’s so much fun to read, and the pictures are wonderful, too。 It instantly became a favorite of my 5 year old son。

After the hilariously fun Oi Frog!, the frog decides to change the rules on where each animal should sit。So instead of dog sitting on him, they should be perched on a log。This brilliant series is so amusing with various rhythms and striking colourful illustrations for everyone to enjoy。My personal favourites included Cheetahs on Fajitas and Poodles on Noodles。Now that the bossy cat has been summoned to sit on gnats, we're eager to see how they will respond in the next book。Such a fab perfect bed After the hilariously fun Oi Frog!, the frog decides to change the rules on where each animal should sit。So instead of dog sitting on him, they should be perched on a log。This brilliant series is so amusing with various rhythms and striking colourful illustrations for everyone to enjoy。My personal favourites included Cheetahs on Fajitas and Poodles on Noodles。Now that the bossy cat has been summoned to sit on gnats, we're eager to see how they will respond in the next book。Such a fab perfect bedtime read! 。。。more

I love this whole series! The illustrations are clever and tongue-in-cheek - so much expression in the animals' faces and so many fun little details in their clothes and accessories。 And each book has their own punchline at the end of all the rhyming - even as an adult, it's much fun to read。 How they build on each other makes for some fun reading too。 Here, Frog is upset at the Rules, so decides to change where everyone sits, leaving the best for last。 A fun way to get kids thinking outside of I love this whole series! Students really enjoy these books。 They’re quite silly, with the frog dictating what animals should sit on。 Again, there was one pair of words that my upstate NY accent doesn’t rhyme。 Great for discussing accents and language。

This book is adorable。 I love the rhymes, the silliness and the illustrations。

A hilarious follow up of Oi Frog! I cannot recommend these books highly enough for young children。 My son has read them for the past few years and still enjoys them at the age of 7。

When a dog sits on a frog, the frog protests and decides to reassign what rhyming objects on which the dog and a litany of other animals are supposed to sit。This picture book features tongue twisting rhymes, which will teach phonological awareness。 Young readers will be amused by the idea that an animal is only allowed to sit on a designated object that rhymes with its name。

Summary: This book talks about different animals and tells where each animal should sit。 The frog though, wants to change the rules into where each animal should be sitting instead。 For example, the frog says that the dog should sit on log instead of sitting on frogs。 The dog then asks the frog where bears should sit on and he responds that bears should sit on stairs。 We noticed throughout the book, that the frog intentionally names each insect with a rhyming word on where they should sit。 For e Summary: This book talks about different animals and tells where each animal should sit。 The frog though, wants to change the rules into where each animal should be sitting instead。 For example, the frog says that the dog should sit on log instead of sitting on frogs。 The dog then asks the frog where bears should sit on and he responds that bears should sit on stairs。 We noticed throughout the book, that the frog intentionally names each insect with a rhyming word on where they should sit。 For example, crickets will sit on tickets and moths will sit on cloths。 Throughout we see a lot of rhyming words being used。 Evaluation: This book is funny for younger children to read because they list silly things each animal should sit on。 For example, pigs will sit on wigs and boars will sit on oars。I believe the younger children will enjoy reading this book for that reason。 As the frog lists different things each animal should sit on, the illustrations in the book provide great pictures to go along with what the text is saying。 Lesson: This book is a good book to do a lesson on rhyming words。 You can have the students work with a partner to point out different rhyming words as they are reading this book。 Have them tell each other what makes words rhyming words? Have them share examples of different rhyming words they see throughout the book。 Have the students play a scavenger hunt where they need to look for different words throughout the text that can used as rhyming words。 For example, logs, dogs, frogs。 。。。more

A clever collection about a frog who shakes things up and changes the seating rules for everyone from the Oi! frog series。 With some fantastic and funny rhymes along with the great expressions of the illustrations that children would love。 It is a fantastic picture book to have in the classroom, for read-aloud, or even to add to a beginning poetry unit。
